The Acholi Inn in Gulu City played host once again on 2 May 2026, as NUFA26 brought together filmmakers, partners and fans for the second edition of the Northern Uganda Film Awards.
From the moment guests stepped onto the red carpet, the energy was unmistakable — bold fashion, familiar faces from the region's growing film scene, and a programme that stretched across camera, editing, sound, writing and performance categories.
Where the inaugural 2025 edition proved the concept, NUFA26 proved the momentum: more entries, more districts represented, and a longer list of partners backing the night.
Winners were celebrated not just for star power but for technical craft — a deliberate choice that reflects NUFA's mission to recognise the full production chain, not only what's in front of the camera.
